About Sarah Cooper Reflexology Boroughbridge
My name is Sarah Cooper and I’m a Reflexologist, Reiki Master Practitioner and writer based in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire.
I offer Reflexology and Reiki home visits and am happy to travel up to a 10 mile (ish!) radius of Boroughbridge. I have a relatively flexible schedule so can offer appointments at a time to suit you, including some evenings.
Me coming to you means that you don’t have to worry about finding a parking space, battling with the weather, catching a bus or having to snap out of that wonderful post treatment feeling to be able to drive home.
It also means you can wear your pyjamas for your treatment and then drift off to bed afterwards if you so wish. Don’t worry about your dog barking or feel like you have to tidy up before I come. You absolutely don’t need to worry!
Would you prefer to come to me?
If you prefer to come to me I am at Balance Wellness Centre, 9-10 Halfpenny Close, Knaresborough HG5 0TG on Wednesdays and Thursdays

The Benefits of Reflexology and Reiki
- Improving low mood,
- Relieving stress and anxiety,
- Improving sleep patterns
- improving your general sense of wellbeing,
- Reducing muscle tension and generally feel really good!
The treatments I offer all help the body come back into balance.
Often what we need is to relax and take some time out, this in turn relieves stress and anxiety, helps tense muscles to relax, improves sleep patterns and generally improves you sense of wellbeing.

Why have a Reflexology or Reiki treatment?
Often when we’re stressed we take short cuts, maybe relying more heavily on takeaways or convenience foods, or having more wine with dinner than is strictly a good idea.
Maybe hobbies and exercise get put to the side, or meetings with friends cancelled. We may feel overwhelmed and find it hard to know where to start with even the simplest of tasks.
This all affects the way we feel and things can start to spiral. Having a regular treatment can help you reduce your stress levels and allow you to start feeling more like you again!

How often should I have a Reflexology treatment, Reiki treatment or Massage?
It depends on a number of factors. If you have an ongoing issue that needs addressing, having a course of treatments spaced weekly or fortnightly will have the most impact.
I have treatment packages where you can have a discount for buying 3 or 6 treatments at a time
If you don’t have any ongoing issues having a treatment every 3-4 weeks would be ideal. As an absolute minimum, I would suggest having a treatment every month.
It does depend on your schedule and also your budget. I have clients who have a treatment most weeks, some that have fortnightly and some less frequently. It really is up to you!
My Treatments
Reflexology £40 (60 mins)
Reflexology aims to bring the body back into balance by using a systematic (gentle but firm) pressure on specific points on the feet to remove energy blockages.
This is combined with a foot and lower leg massage and is usually deeply relaxing. It has an all-over body effect without you having to remove anything but your shoes and socks!
Don’t worry if you have ticklish feet, reflexology does NOT tickle
Benefits of Reflexology: reflexology may help to
- Improve sleep patterns
- Reduce stress,
- Improve your overall sense of wellbeing,
- Release tension,
- Calm anxiety
- Lift low mood

Facial Reflexology £45 (60 mins)
Facial Reflexology uses the same principles as traditional foot reflexology whereby pressing on specific places on the face, combined with facial massage will help bring the whole body back into balance
Benefits of Facial reflexology: facial reflexology may be helpful for
- Reducing stress,
- Calming anxiety,
- Improving concentration and easing brain fog
- Easing sinusitis or congestion
- Reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
- Improving your sense of wellbeing
- Reducing tension in your face and jaw, which may reduce the occurrence of headaches and migraines
- Leaving the face looking radiant and glowing

Maternity Reflexology £40 (60 mins)
Maternity Reflexology is suitable throughout pregnancy (although you may prefer to wait until 13 weeks+)
Having reflexology in pregnancy can help relax you and offer you some time out for yourself.
It may help with symptoms of pregnancy including
- Calming morning sickness,
- Reducing anxiety,
- Helping relieve tension held in your back and shoulders,
- Helping reduce heartburn etc as well as the benefits of regular reflexology.
It can be helpful to have reflexology every 1-4 weeks throughout your pregnancy.
From week 37 it is useful to have reflexology once or twice a week

Reiki £40 (60 mins)
(Pronounced ‘Ray-key’)
Reiki helps clear energetic blockages physically, emotionally and mentally. Energy blockages can lead to pain and tension.
Reiki harnesses the power of Source energy which is channelled through the therapist into the client.
It feels very much like the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you put your own hand on your knee when you’ve hurt yourself.
Reiki may be done hands-on or hands-off and is suitable for the shyest of clients as you don’t need to remove anything other than your shoes (you can keep your socks on!)

Why do people book treatments with me?
People book for all kinds of reasons, some have pain in their neck, shoulders or back. Or tight muscles or tired minds or need a break from work or caring responsibilities.
Others are living with a chronic or ongoing condition like parkinsons, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, diabetes, cancer etc. Others are feeling anxious, stressed, have low mood or have symptoms of the perimenopause / menopause.
Some people are trying to get pregnant and need a series of relaxing treatments to support them.
Others are as I put it ‘very pregnant’ and want to take some time for themselves as they cope with the latter stages of pregnancy.
Some people just want to be supported, pampered, and tucked up under a blanket whilst they simply switch off and relax for an hour or so!
To be honest, you don’t need a reason to have a treatment, just wanting one is enough!

What Payment methods do I accept?
You can pay when booking via credit card, debit card or paypal. If you prefer to pay on the day of your treatment I have a card machine or you can pay via bank transfer or cash.
Payment for treatment packages is due on the first treatment of the pack please.
Please may I have a receipt for my Reflexology treatment?
Yes of course! Please just ask me to send you one once you’ve paid for your treatment.
Cancellation Policy
Please note I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please give me at LEAST 24 hours if you wish to change, postpone or cancel your appointment unless it is an emergency. See my Terms and Conditions
If you or any of your family have any illness that is contagious (coughs, colds, covid, stomach upsets, etc) please rearrange your appointment.
Reviews
Wow! A fantastic reflexology experience with Sarah, perfect pressure and technique, felt so relaxed and refreshed after this treatment. I wanted it to go on forever and will definitely be booking a regular treatment. If you haven’t tried reflexology I absolutely recommend you book Sarah – you don’t know what you’re missing otherwise!
Friendly, approachable, reliable and honest, Sarah is everything you want in your therapist and more. And the benefits of having Sarah come to your house to do the treatment include being able to sit and relax after without the need to rush off and do battle with people/traffic.
