Home Visits – Here’s everything you need to know

Planning your home visit

Please allow an extra 10-15 mins at the start and end of the treatment so that I can get set up and packed away again.

I will bring with me my lafuma chair or my massage couch depending what treatment you’re having.

My lafuma is a recliner garden chair which folds away into its own bag and is very comfortable.

Please may you lend me a dining room chair or allow me to perch on your sofa or armchair? Thank you

Hand Washing Facilities

If at all possible please may I have somewhere to wash my hands? I normally bring with me soap and a towel.

If this isn’t practical I will use hand sanitiser gel or spray instead.

Are you having a Massage Based Treatment?

If you’re having a Massage based treatment (Indian Head Massage, Hot Stones Massage or Aromatherapy Massage) please may we use a downstairs room like your sitting room or kitchen as my couch is very heavy and difficult to take up and down stairs.

I have pets!

Don’t worry I used to have 5 dogs of my own and currently own my own cat, so I am used to pets. I find they normally settle well during the treatment.

Do I need to tidy up before you come?

No! I genuinely don’t care what your house looks like, honestly.

Setting the scene for your home visit

If you would like to light some candles, put on some soft music, draw the curtains or light some incense that’s absolutely fine. (if you don’t, that’s fine too!)

I do have some music on my mobile phone which I’m happy to play if you wish (and if you prefer to have your treatment without music that is also fine!)

Don’t worry about a thing!

I will bring with me the towels, lotions and oils that I need. I may need to borrow a cushion or pillow sometimes but generally I just bring things I need with me.

What to wear for your appointment

For Reflexology (especially evening home visits) please wear something comfortable. Many of my evening Reflexology home visit clients wear their pyjamas for their treatment so they can drift off to bed afterwards.

For massage clients please wear something easy to remove as you will more than likely need to undress to your pants

If you’re having a facial reflexology/ Indian head massage based treatment please don’t wear any make up if possible.

Sensitive Skin/Allergies

If you have sensitive skin or allergies you may wish to use your own products, which is absolutely fine by me, just have them to hand for your treatment.

Making time for yourself

If possible please put your mobile phone/other technology onto silent (if you’re a carer or have young children you may not be able to do this and I totally understand) This allows you to sink into the treatment and switch off from the world for a while.
